NuxGame at SBC Summit Lisbon 2026: Three Days, Five Takeaways
SBC Summit Lisbon 2026 brought the iGaming industry to the Feira Internacional de Lisboa from 29 September to 1 October, and our networking lounge was busy for all three days. We left Portugal with a long list of follow-ups, new people we are glad to know, and the feeling that this was the best show we have had. The first meeting began while people were still finding their way around the hall, and the last one went on far longer than we had planned, which is usually a good sign.

Our team on the opening morning in Lisbon
Conversations go better when they start with the person across the table, so that is where ours began. Nobody on the stand needed to reach for a script: the NuxGame team knows the casino software inside out, which meant a chat could move from the big picture to the smallest detail of the setup. Many operators came with specific plans in mind and often a date to go with them, and what they wanted was an honest view of what could be added to their existing stack today.
Starting there was good for everybody. Operators walked away knowing how much of their plan simply plugs into what they already have, and more often than not that is the bigger part of it. Finding that out early is what turns next year’s idea into a date somebody can work towards. For us, three days of those conversations added up to a clear picture of where the market is going, and we are grateful to everyone who shared theirs.
Five Takeaways for 2027
Here are the five subjects operators talked about most in Lisbon:
- Sweepstakes, at the top of the list. New brands were planning turnkey launches for early 2027, while established sweeps operators were looking to add aggregation and sportsbook APIs to what they run already.
- Content by API instead of a new platform. Multi-brand groups wanted games delivered into the stack their developers know. Our aggregator connects them to 18,500+ titles from 140+ studios in one go.
- Crypto as one channel among several. Crypto casinos and Telegram-based products came up often, usually with a practical question about serving crypto players and local payment methods side by side.
- Bonus protection as something the product team owns rather than the back office.
- Gamification moving into the games, with studios building missions, drops, and tournaments straight into their titles.

Denis on the Compliance Stage
On 1 October our Chief Product Officer Denis Kosinsky took a seat on the panel “Closing the Loopholes: How to Combat Bonus Abuse”, next to fraud and risk specialists from around the industry. He came at it from the product side, as you would expect from an iGaming platform provider: most fraud is still reviewed by hand, and shutting accounts for an extra check sends good players somewhere else. His suggestion was to use what the platform already offers. Give the people who treat promotions as a profession their own segment rather than closing their accounts. Mark the risky games before the bonus goes live. Decide how much each game counts towards wagering. Or, as he put it on stage, you will never close every loophole, so close the expensive ones and let an honest player carry on without noticing.

The People Behind the Platform
Everyone counts shows in meetings, but what sticks is how those meetings feel. A busy hall gives you very little time with anyone, so the stands people return to are the ones where somebody can talk properly there and then. The lounge helped with that: guests sat down, coffee appeared, and a few of the best chats happened once the day had officially finished. It was lovely to have the whole team in one room as well, since for most of the year these are names in a chat window.
We also made time for the partners around us in payments, CRM, orchestration, and traffic. An online casino API is only as useful as the companies connected to it, and a few days together in Lisbon can do more for those relationships than a year of messages.

Thank You, and Until the Next One
Thank you to everyone who came by, to the partners who brought us into their conversations, and to SBC for a show that improves every year. Most of all, thank you to our team, who steadily raise their own bar at every show they attend. This was our best Lisbon yet.
Those conversations were just the beginning, and we are happy to pick up any of them over a call. Bring your plans for 2027 and we will tell you what is realistic and how fast we can get you there.
