Volodymyr Veselov of NuxGame on Account Management in iGaming’s AI Era
In iGaming, technology gets a brand to launch. Relationships are what get it to growth. Relationships are Volodymyr Veselov’s job. As Head of Account Management at NuxGame, he leads the team that stays with casino and sportsbook operators long after the contracts are signed and the integrations go live — which is exactly where client-centric turns from a promise into daily practice.
That daily practice is what’s being reshaped right now. By mid-2026, AI has taken over the routine layer of B2B account management: reports write themselves, alerts fire on their own, dashboards flag every dip before a human notices. What’s left is judgment. Knowing which of those signals actually matters, and when to tell a client that the plan they love will cost them money. Veselov’s argument, running through every answer here, is that automation has made the human side of account management more valuable, not less.
Below, he gets specific. Why “no news is good news” fails in this industry. Why clients at NuxGame are treated as partners, not tickets in a queue. How the same honest, direct style works from one region to the next. And what an account manager owes a client whose vision and best interests don’t quite match.
Every B2B company claims to be “client-centric,” but what does that actually look like in day-to-day communication at NuxGame?
For us “client-centric” is not about saying yes to everything; it’s about being genuinely involved in the client’s business. In day-to-day communication there’s always something to discuss. This is a complex, fast-moving industry and no setup is ever “finished” — there is always room to improve, optimize, or scale.
We keep constant contact with our clients through quick calls and ongoing touchpoints. We don’t just react to requests — we bring topics to the table, stay on top of performance, share insights, flag risks, and continuously suggest improvements. Each client is treated more like a partner than a ticket queue: that’s where the real value comes from.
iGaming is a global industry with diverse cultural nuances. How does the NuxGame AM team adapt its communication style across different regions and markets?
Different markets have different expectations, but instead of trying to adjust a style, the focus is more on understanding the person behind the business. At the end of the day, it’s people working with people. When there’s clarity, respect, and openness — communication works regardless of region. It’s less about adapting behavior and more about building a real, straightforward connection that makes collaboration easy.
“No news is good news” is a dangerous myth in client management. How does NuxGame stay proactive and maintain active dialogue even when things are running smoothly?
Silence usually creates more problems than it solves. Even when everything is running well, we stay in touch, sharing ideas, new opportunities, insights, or things the client might be missing. A big part of our job is spotting growth opportunities before the client asks for them. So communication doesn’t stop when things are “fine” — that’s actually when we push the most value.
Looking ahead, how do you see the role of AI and automation changing the landscape of B2B Account Management in iGaming?
Right now, everyone is talking about AI and trying to integrate it everywhere. The key point is not just to use AI, but to use it correctly, not blindly replacing people or shifting responsibility to automation. AI can highlight trends, surface insights, and deliver information fast. But what to actually do with that information, how to prioritize it, and how to turn it into real business results: that still requires human judgment and experience. AI is definitely taking over repetitive and operational parts: reporting, alerts, maybe even some level of recommendations.
In fact, Account Management became more strategic. The value shifted from just “sending updates” to making decisions, guiding clients, and understanding the bigger picture — context, risks, long-term goals, and how to achieve them.
And most importantly: people still want to work with people. Clients want real conversations, real relationships, and to feel that they’re genuinely supported. AI can assist, but it can’t replace that human connection.
When a client’s vision for their project differs from what is technically or commercially best for them, how does NuxGame guide them toward the right decision?
Our responsibility is to provide an honest perspective. Sometimes that means challenging an initial idea or explaining why another approach might bring better results. We focus on showing the full picture — including the impact on performance, costs, timelines, and long-term growth. The final decision always remains with the client, but our goal is to make sure it is based on the right information and a clear understanding of the possible outcomes. Good Account Management is not about pushing back. It’s about helping the client avoid mistakes they don’t see yet.
